Caramelised Onion and Cheese Pastries

Adjust this recipe for your preference – either way, it’s lovely to eat and quick to make
Ingredients
- Pastry World Puff Pastry Sheets / 5” Squares (cut into squares or strips)
- Caramelised thinly sliced onion with Worcestershire sauce
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Pinch of sugar
- Herbs
- Cream cheese
Method
- Cut 1/3 of the way through the pastry on all sides to make a border
- Place the onions into the area inside the border
- Add some cream cheese on top and a sprinkle of mixed herbs
- Bake at 200°C (Gas Mark 6) until risen and then 180°C (Gas Mark 4) until golden
Note: you can use any cream cheese, including flavoured (like garlic and herb), you can add the cheese first and adjust the toppings, you can adjust the cheese to brie, camembert or any soft cheese
