Steak Pastry Filling

A splendid filling for savoury pastries, packed with flavour and perfect for picnics or Ramadhan snacks
Ingredients
- 1kg tenderised rump steak cut into cubes
- 2tsp crushed green chillies
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp aromat
- 1 tsp crushed dhania
- 1 tsp crushed jeero
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp crushed red chillies
- 1 tsp steak and chops spice
- 1 tsp bbq spice
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp peri peri sauce
- 2tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp ghee
Method
- Heat the oil and ghee in a pot
- Add the steaks and spices and cook for ½ hour
- Add the sauces and tomato paste and cook for further ½ hour
- Garnish with dhania when completely cold
