Chicken Pies

Prep in advance or eat on the spot, these pies are the perfect side to a hearty meal

Ingredients

  • Pastry World Puff Pastry Sheet
  • 1kg cubed chicken
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp green chilli
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 1 tsp fine chilli powder
  • 1 tsp dhana jeeru powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp chicken spice
  • 1 tsp tandoori spice
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • Fresh dhana

Method

  1. Heat the ghee and oil in a pot
  2. Add the chicken and the spices
  3. Cook until done (roughly 15 minutes) and the water has dried out
  4. Add the fresh cream and mix well
  5. Garnish with dhana when completely cold
  6. Cut and fill your pastry – you can use whichever shapes you prefer
  7. Seal the ends with egg and apply and egg wash before sprinkling with poppy seeds
  8. They are now ready to freeze or bake
